I ordered a couple of geology books from Amazon last week, and a couple days ago they were shipped. Unfortunatly, Amazon decided to ship them via Securicor Omega Express – who aren’t actually Securicor Omega Express but DHL, as DHL bought Securicor Omega a while back. Anyway, yesterday the tracking site said that the parcel was “out for delivery” all day. I was in all day yesterday (as I’m on holiday for 2 weeks with not much to do) and it never arrived nor was any card left. Looking at the tracking page today, it said that “no one to recieve card left” – seeing as I was in, someone was there to recieve let alone the bit about no card being left. I eventually found the number to call DHL on (08702 400 555), they had to put me through to somebody else (as it was an international tracking number), who could only say that the item was out – at which point I irately pointed out that that was what was said yesterday and it never arrived. She gave me the number for the local branch (08704 444 288) who I then called. According to the guy there, they don’t actually do the deliveries but have some other company do them. I gave him my phone number and he said he’d call back. I’m sorry to say that I don’t believe he will, so I’m giving them till 3 to call me back before I call them back again.
